Parking varies between country towns, lakes and national-park trailheads. Use designated areas, expect popular lookouts and short walks to fill on fine weekends, and avoid relying on roadside space.
Access differs greatly across the region. Shorter circuits and town stops may suit more visitors, while remote trails are steep and uneven; confirm the exact park and venue rather than assuming region-wide access.
Domestic animals are not permitted in Queensland national parks, including the Scenic Rim Trail. Check individual farm stays, town parks and accommodation before bringing a dog.
Only enter signed, open swimming areas after checking local conditions. Remote rock pools and creeks can change quickly after rain and should not be treated as supervised swimming sites.
